Music Teachers With A Difference
Our teachers love what they do and are passionate about inspiring, encouraging and growing your child’s musical knowledge and appreciation.
Furthermore, we believe effective learning flows from the partnership of teachers and parents and we are proud to have expert teachers dedicated to working together with parents and grandparents to provide the very best learning outcomes for our wee musicians.
Louise is the owner and director of Wee Make Music and has a Graduate Diploma in education, Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science and 16 years classroom teaching experience. She completed her early childhood musical training with Keiki Crescendo Music School in Hawaii, USA where she taught infants through to five year old children. Louise has many years of classical ballet (ARAD), jazz and tap dancing training and is a mother of four children, Harriet, Millie and twins Bridget and Max.
Karin is a psychologist with many years of work experience in Australia and overseas. She has worked specifically with children in the past. She is a talented violinist and nurtured her musical skills playing in several bands. After taking a break to raise her family, Karin has decided to combine her comprehensive technical skills with her love for children and her passion for music and is now joining our team at Wee Make Music.
Colleen began music teaching 20-years ago, teaching flute after completing Grade 8 in classical flute (Trinity). Colleen is very passionate about the arts and literacy, as demonstrated by her varied career as a bookseller and a consultant to the museum and gallery sector. She has been a mum with the Wee Make Music program and has experienced first-hand how beneficial the program is in fostering a love of music whilst promoting learning and skills across all areas of early childhood development. This has inspired her to further her studies in the area of Education Support.
Miss Michelle began teaching with Wee Make Music in 2006 and has a background in piano, singing, dance, sign language, and primary education. Together with her passion for teaching and communication, Miss Michelle delights in sharing her joy of musical expression with young minds and families who pass through our program. She believes her patience, gentleness and enthusiasm are key to helping our Wee Musicians to engage with music and harness their creativity through music.
“I believe that a love of music is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child and one that will last them a lifetime. One of the things I love the most about teaching with Wee Make Music is seeing all the smiles and faces of both children and adults alike, expressing their enjoyment and delight, as well as sharing those proud moments as parents witness their child’s own personal accomplishments.”Miss Colleen
