Elevate early literacy outcomes
Researchers know that music and language share many of the same brain processing networks. It doesn’t matter if it’s spoken, sung or clapping hands to the beat, babies and toddlers process beat, pitch and tone the same way. This means through singing and beat keeping, language skills are simultaneously practiced and developed.
Making music enriches pre literacy development. In particular:
Singing and pitch matching enhances pronunciation of consonants and vowels. Competency with spoken language is a recognised indicator of preliteracy.

Wee Make Music is an early childhood music school offering a holistic approach to musical education focused on singing, beat keeping, movement and mental wellbeing to enhance early childhood development. Here’s how we can help you enrich your early childhood setting through an age-appropriate, interactive and sequential early childhood music program at your Centre.
Comprehensive Curriculum and Training Package
Music is the richest tool for fun and holistic development in early childhood classrooms. We upskill to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to integrate our expertly curated curriculum into their everyday planning. Children and staff share the joy of happy music learning.
In this comprehensive curriculum and training package, our Wee Make Music staff provide both the curriculum AND in-person training. We help take the fear out of music learning and support your staff to realise the broad scope of learning enhancement that comes from immersing children in musical activities. We strongly believe in the benefits of sequential, age-appropriate musical education and will support you over a 12 month period.
Including:
A Curriculum Document
It includes 40 weekly lesson plans with age-appropriate, interactive, carefully curated musical activities. We also provide you with the recordings and support documents to deliver the lessons in class.
A Whole Staff Upskilling Workshop
This is an initial 2 hour workshop to upskill staff in the Why, What and How music learning is so holistically effective in enhancing developmental outcomes in early childhood.
Quarterly Educator Implementation Support and Training
Two hours per term over 12 months demonstrating how to implement activities within your early childhood setting. Plus, one-on-one teacher support and training. This is an annual package available to start at any time throughout the school year.
Incursions
If you’d prefer to outsource musical education at your Centre, consider Wee Make Music for your incursion program. We will develop a sequential, age-appropriate music class for your daycare, kindergarten or preschool class and visit you in situ to deliver it with support by your service staff.

At Wee Make Music, we believe that all children are naturally musical and that music is naturally good for them. In fact, researchers show that music connects children to their world in a way no other educational tool can. When you sing a rhyme, or make music together, children are focused on the fun and creative expression of the moment. If you’re a bit off key, they don’t even notice!
