Facilitate education through music

Keep the learning going at home

We urge you to keep sharing classroom activities at home. We’ll give you loads of free take home material on child musical development. And there’ll be stacks of fun activities to help you support your child’s musical development between classes.

Assist cognitive development across all areas

It’s no secret, kids love to sing and move to a beat. By 4 years of age, they may want to reproduce melodies as they build confidence or may be composing their own simple songs. Music lessons for kids will help your child grow in many different ways.

Easy and fun musical activities have a huge impact in the development of numeracy and literacy. With the introduction of even more instruments your child will continue to use organisational thinking and higher level processing which assists in preparing them to learn to read and write.

Learning about classroom etiquette is something our classes continue to provide. Being able to share and be part of a team really comes into play here through our ensembles. As this is a drop off class, school readiness continues here as your child further develops skills to organise themselves and follow instructions.

The use of mixed unpitched percussion and drums, along with choreographed movement routines will require your child to use gross (physical) motor skills as they learn to control and coordinate. By continuing to also use pitched instruments, hand eye coordination continues to improve.

We encourage solo singing, which is great for your child’s self esteem and confidence through experiencing personal success. By working as a team and sharing music with those around them this enhances your child’s wellbeing and releases endorphins. Creating a safe space where your child feels good and learns how to self regulate their mood.

Obviously Wee Make Music is fantastic for the development of basic musical skills, which form a great foundation for children to build on later on. But the variety of activities has also helped my boys to improve their fine and gross motor skills as well as social and language skill. And all while having fun. […]

Our professional, exclusive curriculum is only the beginning …

Wee Make Music isn’t only entertainment. As much as we love them, we’re not The Wiggles.

Young children blossom in sensory-rich environments and never more so than when given access to music every day. Our lessons will develop your child’s natural musical abilities with nurturing and reassurance. Your child will feel both instant and long term positive effects through song, music and rhythm.

We’ll help awaken a lifetime love of music

As your child becomes more competent, we’ll add levels of complexity, improving their musical, cognitive, social and emotional selves.

Through rhythm, beat, movement, language and melody, your 4-year-old child will learn to sing, play musical instruments, explore, share and create.
